Smart rules that you control
Managing Outlook rules becomes much clearer with OAS. Instead of managing rules across different settings, you work from one clear overview. You decide what triggers a rule and what should happen to a message. Outlook also has its own rules system; Microsoft explains how to manage email messages using rules in Outlook.
OAS can use information from an email to create a new rule. For example, you do not need to enter a sender or email address manually. You can create, edit, duplicate and temporarily disable rules without having to delete them.
Manage rules clearly
Rule Management gives you a clear overview of which rules are available and which are active. You can search and filter to quickly find the right rule, even when you have a large number of rules.
Select a rule to view or change its settings. You can test new rules before actually using them. This allows you to check in advance which emails will be found by a rule.
✓ Create, edit and duplicate rules
✓ Search and filter existing rules
✓ Test rules before using them
✓ Create new rules directly from an email
✓ Easily enable and disable rules

Stay in control of automatic processing
With OAS, automation does not mean giving up control. You decide which rules are active and can change or temporarily disable a rule at any time.
By testing rules first, you can check which emails match before actually using the rule. This way, you only automate what you want to automate.
Active rules can then be used by Inbox Cleanup for existing emails as well as new messages that arrive while Outlook is running. This means you no longer have to perform recurring tasks manually each time.

From rule to automatic processing
A rule you create in OAS determines which emails are recognised and what should happen to them. Once you have checked and tested the rule, Inbox Cleanup can use it to process recurring messages automatically. This means managing Outlook rules and Inbox Cleanup work together as one workflow: in Rule Management you decide what should happen, and Inbox Cleanup carries it out for you. Simple!
You can change a rule at any time when your workflow changes. For example, if messages start arriving from a different email address or you want to store them in another Outlook folder, you do not have to start again. Simply edit the existing rule and test it again before using it.
Because you can search, filter, temporarily disable and reactivate rules, even a larger collection of rules remains manageable. OAS grows with your mailbox without making automation difficult to manage.
Create rules from an email
You do not always have to open Rule Management to create a new rule. You can create a new rule directly from a selected email. OAS uses information from the message as a starting point, allowing you to configure a suitable rule more quickly.
This is particularly useful for recurring messages such as newsletters, notifications, invoices or other emails from the same sender. You create the rule once and then decide how similar messages should be processed.
Ready to process your email more efficiently?
Create your own rules, test them in advance and let OAS handle the recurring work. You decide what is automated and remain in control of your Outlook mailbox.
