Configuration

Configure OAS to suit the way you work

Managing Outlook settings for OAS is done from one central location. In Configuration, you decide how OAS works within your Outlook environment and which settings are used by the different OAS features. You can select the mailbox OAS works with, set locations for archiving, and choose your language and other personal preferences. These settings are stored centrally, so you do not have to enter them again for each individual feature. This allows you to configure OAS once to match the way you work with Outlook. If you want to change something later, simply adjust the relevant setting in Configuration.
Everything configured centrally The OAS configuration is clearly divided into different sections. This makes it easy to find the settings you need and see which choices affect the different OAS features. Your settings are stored centrally and remain available when Outlook is restarted. This means you only need to configure OAS once and can then simply continue working. ✓ Central settings for OAS ✓ Configure mailbox and locations ✓ OAS is available in 7 languages ✓ Settings are retained after closing Outlook

Configure your mailbox and OAS to work together

OAS works within your existing Outlook environment. In Configuration, you therefore select which mailbox OAS uses and which locations are used by the different features. This ensures that features such as Inbox Cleanup and Archiving know which mailbox and folders to work with. You only need to enter this information once. The different OAS features then use these centrally stored settings. If your mailbox changes later or you want to use a different location, simply adjust it in Configuration. This means you do not have to manage Outlook settings separately for each feature, keeping your configuration clear and easy to maintain.

Use OAS in the language of your choice

OAS is available in seven languages. In Configuration, you can choose which language you want to use. OAS then uses your selection for screens, buttons, notifications and other text throughout the application. The language used by OAS is independent of the language setting in Outlook. If you also want to change the language of Outlook itself, Microsoft explains how to manage language settings in Outlook. This is useful not only when you use Outlook in another language, but also when OAS is used within an organisation by people with different language preferences.

Your Outlook environment as the starting point

Not every Outlook installation is the same. That is why you decide which mailbox and storage locations OAS uses and configure the different features to suit your situation. You can also adjust other preferences in Configuration. If you want to change something later, simply modify the relevant setting. The different OAS features will then automatically use the new settings. This allows you to manage Outlook settings for OAS without having to configure each individual feature again.

Adjust settings when the way you work changes

You do not have to make your OAS configuration permanent during the initial installation. If the way you work changes, you start using another mailbox, or you want to configure a feature differently, you can easily change these settings later. Because the settings are managed centrally, you do not have to make the same changes in several places. The different OAS features use the settings you have defined in Configuration. This allows you to manage Outlook settings whenever necessary while keeping OAS aligned with the way you work in Outlook. Your saved preferences also remain available after restarting Outlook, so you do not have to configure OAS again each time.
